145th Anniversary of the founding of the Necochea City.

The city of Necochea (located in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina) is celebrating the 145th anniversary of its founding.
The official founding date is October 12, 1881—the day the city was formally established through the initiative of a group of citizens led by Ángel Ignacio Murga and Victorio de la Canal, under the administration of Governor Dardo Rocha. The city takes its name from General Mariano Necochea, a renowned military figure from the Argentine Wars of Independence.

To mark this significant milestone, the Municipality of Necochea has organized three days of major public celebrations—running from Saturday, October 10, to Monday, October 12, 2026—centered at Plaza Dardo Rocha.
